The invite you received links here if a notetaker may join your meeting.
What the notetaker is
A participant that joins the Microsoft Teams call to record audio and produce a transcript and a written summary.
When it joins
Only meetings where the business that arranged the meeting has agreed in writing to its use, and only when the invite said so.
How you know
It appears as a named participant in the meeting.
How to object
Say so at the start of the call and it leaves. Or reply to the invite before the meeting. Objecting has no effect on the meeting going ahead.
What happens to the recording
A transcript and a summary are produced and shared with the sales team that arranged the meeting. Audio is deleted automatically after 12 months. The transcript and summary are deleted automatically after 24 months.
Where it is processed
Recording by Recall.ai in Frankfurt. Storage in Cloudflare R2 under EU jurisdiction. The summary is generated by Anthropic's Claude API, which does not train on the content.
